Army Captain Killed in Terrorist Encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda District

New Delhi: Army Captain Deepak Singh of the Indian Army’s 48 Rashtriya Rifles was killed in an intense encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on August 14. The clash, occurring just before Independence Day, resulted in the deaths of four terrorists. Additionally, a civilian sustained injuries during the firefight, highlighting a disturbing rise in violence in the Jammu region.

The encounter erupted amid heightened security measures in Doda, a region that has experienced a recent surge in militant activities.
