Introduction to KALA SE KAAM TAK Initiative

Delhi: The Darshana Singal Foundation (DSF), the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Eastman Auto & Power Limited, proudly celebrated the graduation of 40 women who completed the KALA SE KAAM TAK program. This remarkable initiative aims to equip women from marginalized communities with vocational training and skill development, empowering them to secure employment and lead self-sufficient lives.

Empowering Women Through Vocational Training

The most recent graduating class successfully completed a six-month beauty course in partnership with SStudio Academy. The program provided in-depth training in essential beauty industry skills, offering participants the opportunity to pursue careers as beauty professionals. Beyond technical skills, this initiative helps women gain self-reliance and confidence, encouraging them to become financially independent contributors to their families and society.

Comprehensive Skill Development and Empowerment

In addition to the beauty course, DSF’s KALA SE KAAM TAK initiative includes workshops on a wide range of life skills. These include self-care, hygiene, self-defense, communication skills, financial literacy, and work ethics. The participants also learn valuable skills like Mehndi art, making them more employable in various fields. Furthermore, DSF invites external beauty trainers to deliver motivational talks, encouraging the women to not only become successful professionals but also to feel empowered in all aspects of their lives.

Collaboration and Centers for Skill Development

The program began in collaboration with Soundrya Skill Academy in Chattarpur Village, New Delhi. The first batch of 20 girls commenced their Basic Beauty Course in December 2023, followed by another group of 20 participants. Building on this success, a second center opened in April 2024 in partnership with SStudio Academy in Vasant Kunj, where 40 additional women enrolled in the six-month program.

Impact and Future Vision

Through this initiative, the Darshana Singal Foundation aims to foster sustainable employment and skill development for women from disadvantaged backgrounds. By equipping them with essential vocational skills, DSF envisions a future where these women are not only empowered but are also able to break free from economic dependence, ultimately transforming their lives and contributing to their communities.

The graduation ceremony of these 40 women marks a significant milestone in the KALA SE KAAM TAK journey. The Darshana Singal Foundation, in partnership with organizations like Soundrya Skill Academy and SStudio Academy, is playing a pivotal role in empowering women and promoting inclusive growth. With continued efforts, the foundation aims to extend this initiative to more communities, ensuring that more women can build brighter futures through skill development and employment opportunities.
