Marking the release of the 183rd blog post on a popular PR knowledge-sharing platform, this launch addresses a long-felt need for an Indian perspective in PR education and practice. For decades, Indian students and professionals have relied primarily on Western models. With the introduction of RISE, this gap is being bridged with a culturally resonant and practical framework.
Redefining Public Relations: A Unique Indian Perspective
The newly proposed definition reimagines Public Relations as:
“The practice of building and nurturing meaningful relationships, fostering trust, and enhancing reputation through LOVE (Listening, Observing, Valuing, Empathizing) and RISE (Reputation, Influence, Sharing, Efforts).”
This holistic approach emphasizes both emotional intelligence (through LOVE) and strategic planning (through RISE), offering a balanced pathway for impactful communications.
LOVE – The Emotional Foundation of PR
RISE – The Strategic Framework for PR
The synergy between LOVE and RISE enables professionals to go beyond traditional publicity, focusing instead on trust, engagement, and legacy-building.
The RISE Model in Practice
The RISE model serves as a comprehensive guide for:
Why This Matters
This is the first PR model conceptualized within India, making it highly relevant to the country’s diverse cultural fabric. It is poised to become a cornerstone for communication strategies in academic institutions, corporates, startups, and nonprofits alike.
Key Benefits of the RISE Model:
As the communications landscape continues to evolve, the RISE model empowers PR professionals to lead with purpose, cultural empathy, and strategic clarity.
]]>Together, these schools serve over 200 students from classes 1 to 8, with 92 girls, representing 46% of the total student population. This initiative not only underscores a commitment to shaping future-ready schools in underserved communities but also highlights the importance of advancing girls’ education in these rural areas.
Located near Mahindra Susten’s 280 MWp solar power project in Modasa district, Gujarat, the schools were transformed as part of a targeted community engagement initiative, aiming to strengthen infrastructure and uplift local education.
The three schools underwent extensive transformation tailored to their unique needs, resulting in safe, hygienic, and engaging learning environments. Interventions included complete classroom and school makeovers, repair and renovation of key structures, provision of clean drinking water, and upgraded toilets for both boys and girls. Notably, critical safety concerns were addressed—from cracked walls to unstable roofing—transforming each into a secure and welcoming space for learning. The creation of dedicated drinking water troughs and modernized sanitation blocks now ensures essential hygiene and well-being for students across all schools.
Reflecting on the partnership’s impact, Chirag Bhandari, CEO of Ennoble, remarked:
“Mahindra Susten was our very first partner—with whom we not only dreamt of transforming education in rural India but also believed deeply in the potential of what we could achieve together. From our initial collaboration in Rajasthan to this second cluster in Gujarat, Mahindra Susten has consistently demonstrated a long-term commitment to community-centred change. It’s not just about upgrading school infrastructure—it’s about reimagining what learning environments can look like for every child, no matter where they live. Together, we look forward to scaling this model and inspiring a movement where more organizations come forward to invest in the future of rural education.”
Mahindra Susten CSR team added: “Our collaboration with Ennoble has been a journey of shared values and objectives. Having previously developed clusters in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and now in Gujarat, we’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of aligning corporate responsibility with community needs. These initiatives resonate deeply with our mission to foster sustainable development and empower future generations.”
Mahindra Susten’s CSR program Gyandeep has already impacted over 25,000 children nationwide by enhancing educational infrastructure in 12 schools and establishing two state-of-the-art STEAM labs in Gujarat and Rajasthan, and enabling access to innovation-driven learning in rural areas. This latest initiative in Modasa aligns with the organization’s guiding principle— “Giving more than we take”—and reflects their long-term vision of community upliftment through inclusive education and to “Rise for a more Equal World”.

]]>Bangalore: India’s job market is ending the financial year on a high note. Despite global headwinds, employers in India are doubling down on hiring, especially tech talent and freshers. According to Indeed’s latest ‘Hiring Tracker’, 82% of employers actively hired between January and March 2025, and increased overall hiring by 3% compared to October and December 2024.
“The job market is evolving, and employers are moving ahead with cautious optimism. While fresher hiring remains steady and tech roles continue to grow, especially in areas like software development, data analytics, and AI, there’s also a clear need to bridge the skills gap. As we enter FY26, companies are being more deliberate about who they hire and how they build future-ready teams,” said Sashi Kumar, Head of Sales, Indeed India
Freshers take the spotlight as FY26 planning kicks off
As companies locked in budgets and future-facing teams, fresh graduates emerged as the most in-demand talent, accounting for 53% of new hires last quarter. The top roles driving this demand were Software Developers (29%), Data Analysts and Scientists (26%), and Sales Executives (23%).
Employers are increasingly seeking freshers trained in Data Analytics, AI/ML, Cybersecurity, and Software Development — indicating that India’s hiring momentum is closely tied to the tech and AI boom. From AI developers to Cybersecurity specialists, employers are building teams that can future-proof their business, and freshers are leading the charge.
The skills gap challenge: Fresh talent, but not job-ready
Despite a strong interest in fresher hiring, many employers are grappling with a persistent skills gap. 38% of employers cited this as their top concern. While fresh graduates bring enthusiasm and adaptability, many lack the hands-on, practical experience that’s essential in today’s fast-evolving workplace.
Beyond technical skills, employers are also finding that new hires often fall short of workplace readiness. From communication to collaboration and time management, 27% of employers report that freshers need more support to adjust to professional environments. On top of that, 25% struggle with bridging the gap between candidate expectations and what companies can realistically offer, especially when it comes to compensation.
Yet, most companies still view freshers as long-term investments. What’s clear is that employers are becoming more discerning. They’re looking for candidates who not only have the right technical know-how in areas like AI, software development, and data analytics but also demonstrate flexibility, curiosity, and a willingness to learn on the job.
Freshers’ viewpoint: High hopes, tough competition
On the other side of the table, freshers are navigating their own set of challenges. While many are eager to upskill and prove themselves, competitive pay remains a sticking point. A large share of job seekers say they’re unwilling to settle for low compensation, and employers are taking notice. In fact, 72% of employers say fresher salaries have increased year-on-year. However, nearly 60% admit that the hike has been modest, capped at 5%.
Adding to the pressure, 39% of freshers say the sheer volume of competition makes it hard to get noticed.
“For every job today, there are six freshers vying for the role, and in tech, seven freshers compete for one role. That’s a sign of a young, ambitious workforce ready to work. Now, it’s time for the ecosystem to rise to the challenge. With the right push from new-age tech companies and innovation-led sectors like AI and cybersecurity, we have a real opportunity to turn this energy into impact,” added Mr Kumar.
Employers came close to meeting the salary expectations of the class of 2025 this quarter, offering an average starting salary of ₹3,50,000 LPA against freshers’ hopes of ₹3,80,000 LPA. Around 58% of employers offered packages in the ₹300,000 – 500,000 LPA range, aligning closely with the expectations of 67%. However, despite this near-match, 72% of freshers said they would not compromise on their salary demands, even if attractive learning or growth opportunities were available, underlining once again that pay remains their top priority.
This disconnect between employer expectations and job seeker needs is shaping how talent engages with opportunities. In fact, 62% of job seekers say they are more likely to apply to roles that clearly outline compensation, responsibilities, and work culture.. For employers looking to attract top talent, greater transparency and well-defined expectations may be key to building a stronger talent pipeline in FY26.
Outlook for FY26
The outlook for FY26 is cautiously optimistic. Over 34% of employers surveyed for Indeed Hiring Tracker Q4 FY’25 said they plan to hire freshers in the coming April-June 2025 quarter. Demand remains strong for fresh graduates and tech talent, especially in areas like AI, data, and cybersecurity.

Kolkata : Consumers have become more reliant on personal data for everything from health records, financial documents, home video and photos, social media videos and more, and many are realizing the importance of backing up data.
Western Digital today announced the results of a global research study by Researchscape, where 87% of respondents worldwide cite that they backup their data automatically or manually. The top reasons for backing up personal data are fear of losing important files (83%), to free up space on their device (67%) and to protect against cyber threats (42%). 19% do it because they were told to.
India has come out on top in terms of data backup habits, with 30% of respondents from India backing up their data daily – the highest around the world ahead of large economies like the US (27%) or the UK (23%). The survey highlights that external hard drives are one of the most popular backup solutions in India, with 54% respondents using them for data backup. This places India as the second highest globally in this category, just behind France at 59%.
“It’s fantastic to see that Indian consumers recognizing the importance of protecting and backing up their data,” said Owais Mohammed, Sales Director India, Middle East, and Africa at Western Digital. “World Backup Day is an important yearly reminder to everyone to safeguard their data and to educate fellow people in India who still aren’t aware of the impact of losing data. It’s also an opportunity to reinforce just how critical it is to protect what matters most—because all it takes is one small accident for data to be gone forever. In fact, 71% of Indian respondents have already experienced data loss due to device failure, accidental deletion or cyberattacks.”
While data backup solutions seem to have traction in India, there still are some identified gaps in data protection practices. Surprisingly, 28% of Indian respondents — the second highest globally — do not back up their personal data, placing a high trust on their device’s reliability.
It is recommended to follow the dependable 3-2-1 backup strategy, where consumers should have three copies of data, stored on two different types of media with one copy stored offsite, like in the cloud.
Western Digital provides consumers and businesses alike with easy-to-use data storage solutions that streamline the backup process and meet today’s growing storage needs. Western Digital recently unveiled higher capacities across its portfolio, including a 26TB1 WD Red® Pro CMR HDD for NAS environments and an entire suite of 26TB-based G-DRIVE® and G-RAID® external storage solutions for consumers, creative professionals and content creators to help protect and enable their digital workflows. Consumers can also back up their digital life and take data on-the-go with the WD My Passport®, 20th Anniversary Edition with industry-leading 2.5” portable HDD capacity of up to 6TB. My Passport devices also include Acronis® True Image for Western Digital software to more easily schedule backups of precious data.
The results in this report are from an online survey of 6,118 respondents that was fielded from February 7th – 25th, 2025 by Researchscape, an international market research consultancy. Respondents were from 10 different countries.

Through its transparent online admission platform and category-wise micro-reservation – 7.5% for Scheduled Castes, 1.5% for Scheduled Tribes, and 16% for other backwards and disadvantaged groups—Karnataka has enabled over 6.4 lakh children from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds to access high-quality private schooling during this period. These efforts not only broadened educational opportunities but also laid a robust foundation for inclusive growth and community integration.
Changing Policies, Shrinking Opportunities
The 2019 amendment to Rule 4 of the Karnataka RTE Rules made access to this provision conditional upon the non-availability of a government or aided school within a 1 km radius. This change has had a significant impact on the program’s reach:
These figures reflect the widening gap between policy and practice, especially for families unable to afford private education without state-supported mechanisms.
A Turning Point: Legal and Collaborative Pathways
Recent legal developments may offer guidance for stakeholders concerned about equitable access. In July 2024, the Bombay High Court addressed a similar “neighbourhood clause” in Maharashtra, and the Supreme Court subsequently upheld this ruling in August 2024, emphasising that the 25% reservation under RTE 12(1)(c) aims to create educational opportunities for children who otherwise cannot access them.
Moving forward, collaborative approaches might include:
Transforming Children’s Futures
The numbers tell a compelling story, but it’s the children and families behind them who truly reflect the policy’s impact.
Ten-year-old Priya, a beneficiary of the RTE quota before the 2019 amendment, beams as she shares, “I love my school. I have friends from all kinds of families. My teacher says I’m good at science, and I want to be an engineer.”
Stories like P. Lakshmi’s, whose son Rahul was admitted to a private school under RTE, underscore how access to quality education can change a family’s trajectory. “He’s learning English, using computers, and dreams of becoming a doctor someday,” she says. “This opportunity wouldn’t have been possible for us otherwise.”
In contrast, Nagaraj N., a driver from Banashankari, speaks to the current challenges: “I hoped my daughter would get into a good school through the RTE quota. But there’s no private school under RTE in our area anymore. I can’t afford the fees. I don’t know what to do.”
Working Together for Children’s Futures
“Every child deserves a chance to reach their potential,” notes Shobha T., a teacher who has worked in both government and private schools. “When children from different backgrounds learn together, they all benefit. It’s about creating a more inclusive society.”
By working together—government agencies, educational institutions, community organisations, and families—Karnataka can build on its pioneering legacy in educational equity. The infrastructure and experience exist to ensure that children from all backgrounds can access quality education that helps them achieve their dreams.
As young Rahul from Lakshmi’s family puts it: “In my classroom, we’re all just students learning together. It doesn’t matter where we come from.”
]]>Mehsana: Kakasana Primary School in Becharaji, one of Mehsana district’s oldest village schools, has turned a new page—quite literally. What was once a dilapidated school is now a model campus benefiting over 156 students from the village and surrounding areas.
This composite transformation, – an ONGC CSR project and implemented by Ennoble, sets a benchmark for other government schools in the region—and indeed, across India. From structural repairs to classroom revitalization, from green campus elements to play zones and learning tech—Kakasana Primary School is now a model of what’s possible when purpose-driven partners come together.
Before the interventions, the school had long grappled with a deteriorating campus—cracked walls, leaky roofs, broken fences, poor ventilation, outdated or broken furniture, inadequate lighting, and missing teaching aids. Classrooms lacked the spark to inspire, with dull walls, empty reading spaces, and no access to modern technology. Playgrounds lay barren, with no swings, slides, or greenery. Even the kitchen and dining spaces were poorly equipped, affecting hygiene and the overall quality of the mid-day meals served to children.
Today, Kakasana Primary School stands proudly revitalized.
A Teacher shared: “It’s a completely different school now! The colours and new signage make it feel like a fresh, inspiring place to learn. The new classrooms are brighter, and the furniture is much more comfortable—students can now focus and participate more actively. The reading area encourages them to engage with books on their own, which is so important for academic growth.”
Principal added: “The exterior is a reflection of the positive changes happening inside. The community feels proud of this transformation. The new roofing and dining spaces have made the school safer, and the improved classrooms create a more comfortable and productive environment. The students are now more involved, and the school’s enhanced environment is conducive to better learning outcomes.”
Student voices: “The smartboards make lessons more interesting, and we love using the STEM kits to do real experiments. I love the swings and slides! It’s also great that we have trees and solar panels now. The school feels more eco-friendly.”
Chirag Bhandari, CEO of Ennoble Foundation, shared: “We believe schools must be places that excite and inspire. At Kakasana, we saw an opportunity to not just fix structures but to build hope. This model school approach—designed with love and insight—creates future-ready spaces where learning thrives.”A spokesperson from ONGC added: “Education has always been central to ONGC’s CSR mission. Kakasana School is an example of what meaningful partnerships can do—revitalizing community institutions, boosting learning outcomes, and paving the way for a stronger India. We’re proud to align with Ennoble Foundation in shaping this future.”
