• Domestic Sales: TVS’s iQube scooter has seen strong demand in India, with cumulative sales surpassing 3 lakh units since its launch in January 2020. In FY2024, TVS sold 1,82,933 iQubes, registering a remarkable 125 percent year-on-year growth.
• Exports: TVS Motor Co exported a total of 8,87,774 units to overseas markets in FY2024, comprising 22 percent of its combined domestic market and export sales of 4 million units. The company’s products are sold in over 80 countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, with recent market entries in Nepal, Vietnam, and France.

The export of the BMW CE 02 underscores TVS’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and global market expansion in the electric two-wheeler segment.

In international markets, the base model of the CE 02 is priced at USD 7,599 (approximately Rs 6.2 lakh), with the Highline trim commanding a price of USD 8,474 (approximately Rs 7 lakh). Despite being produced locally in India, it is expected that the CE 02 will remain a higher-end option, surpassing the price range of the TVS X, which stands at Rs 2.49 lakh. There is even speculation about the CE 02 potentially becoming the most expensive electric two-wheeler available for purchase in the Indian market, although further confirmation is awaited.

BMW has a history of offering premium-priced scooters in India, exemplified by the prestigious C 400 GT maxi-scooter, currently priced at Rs 11.25 lakh—making it the country’s most expensive scooter. However, it is important to note that the CE 02 is projected to be more affordably priced compared to the C 400 GT.

Blurring the lines between an electric bike and an electric scooter, the CE 02 features a distinctive design with motorcycle-like footpegs instead of a conventional floorboard section. Powering the CE 02 are two separate lithium-ion battery packs, collectively amounting to 2kWh, providing an claimed range of 90km. In its most powerful configuration, the CE 02 delivers 15hp, enabling a claimed top speed of 95kph. With a weight of 132kg, the CE 02 strikes a balance between agility and stability.
