The Kia Seltos, a rival to the Hyundai Creta, has been the champion of exports, accounting for nearly 60% of all shipments. The Sonet and Carens, competitors to the Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga respectively, have also contributed significantly, representing 34% and 7% of exports.

While Kia India is a major export hub for Kia Corporation, the company’s focus is shifting towards the domestic market. This year, 90% of production will be dedicated to fulfilling Indian demand.

Key Points:

The introduction of CVT and torque converter automatic gearbox for petrol and diesel engines respectively in HTK+ trims brings the entry point into automatic transmission down to Rs 1.18 lakh for CVT and Rs 1.28 lakh for diesel-AT.

Kia has enhanced the HTK+ trim with additional features, making it the most popular trim of the Seltos. These additional features include a panoramic sunroof, drive and traction modes, paddle shifters, LED-connected tail lamps, LED front map lamps, interior LED reading lamps and a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel. Additionally, a new exterior paint option, Aurora Black Pearl, is now available.

Other Feature Updates:

• Top-end trims (HTX, HTX+, GT Line, and X Line) now feature an auto up/down function for all four windows
• Lower-spec HTK trim receives LED DRLs, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, remote engine start/stop, and LED-connected tail lamps
• Base HTE trim now offers five additional exterior colour options: Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Grey, Intense Red, Pewter Olive, and Imperial Blue

With prices ranging from Rs 10.90 lakh to Rs 20.35 lakh (ex-showroom), the Kia Seltos continues to compete with models like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, and more.
