The Galaxy S24 Ultra showcases an impressive 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, combining a refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz for smooth visuals. Enhancing outdoor visibility is the Vision Booster feature, providing a striking peak brightness of 2,600 nits. Notably, the device boasts a flatter display, slimmer bezels, and a titanium frame, making it the first Galaxy phone to incorporate this material and reducing its overall weight significantly. With regards to the camera system, the S24 Ultra boasts a remarkable 200MP main camera, accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 10MP 3x telephoto camera. Additionally, an impressive 50MP telephoto camera with 5x zoom is introduced, offering optical zoom levels ranging from 2x to 10x, thanks to the innovative Adaptive Pixel Sensor technology. Storage options comprise 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, coupled with a generous 12GB of RAM. Available color options include Titanium Gray, Titanium Black, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow, with prices starting at $1299 in the US.

iPhone 15 Pro Max specifications: 

The iPhone 15 Pro Max boasts a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display that incorporates ProMotion technology for a smoother visual experience. Powered by the A17 Pro chip, Apple claims this flagship smartphone delivers unparalleled performance, potentially rivaling that of high-end PCs. In the realm of photography, the iPhone 15 Pro Max features a 48-megapixel camera with improved low-light capabilities and reduced lens flare. Users can seamlessly switch between three focal lengths (24mm, 28mm, 35mm) and enjoy 5x optical zoom, reaching up to 120mm. These models also support 4K60 ProRes video recording and offer a USB-C port for direct connection to external drives. Notably, the iPhone 15 Pro Max supports the always-on display feature and the recently introduced standby mode in iOS 17, providing a dynamic and power-efficient viewing experience.

iPhone 15 Pro Max vs Samsung S24 Ultra: 

Samsung has emulated Google’s approach by introducing a commendable 7-year commitment to security and OS updates for their new S24 series. While Apple hasn’t officially disclosed the support duration for the iPhone 15 series, the company is well-regarded for its longstanding device support. Notably, even the iPhone XS and XR, launched in 2018, received the iOS 17 update.

In terms of software, Samsung has gained a significant edge over Apple with its introduction of the S24 series, packed with advanced generative AI features. These features leverage Google’s Gemini Pro language model and include impressive functionalities like Live Translate, Interpreter, Chat Assist, Transcript Assist, and more.

Although Apple’s iOS 17 is widely recognized as a highly refined operating system due to the seamless integration of software and hardware, generative AI features have yet to be incorporated into iOS by the Cupertino-based tech giant.

Interestingly, Apple seems poised to close the gap, as per a report from Bloomberg earlier this year. It suggests that Apple is actively developing its own generative AI-based offering, potentially named AppleGPT, utilizing its proprietary Ajax language model.

Samsung Galaxy S23 series was launched in February this year. The South Korean tech giant has reportedly started working on its successor, the Galaxy S24 series, which may release early next year. The lineup is expected to include a the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra models. There have been several leaks and rumours regarding the smartphones, hinting at their specifications and the design. Now, the CAD renders of the Galaxy S24 Ultra have leaked online, suggesting significant design details. 

SmartPrix, in collaboration with tipster OnLeaks, has leaked the CAD renders of the purported Galaxy S24 Ultra. The high-end variant of the Samsung’s upcoming flagship series is seen sporting a similar design as its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 Ultra (review). For optics, as the renders suggest, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is seen with a quad-camera setup. A Stylus pen has been shown to get the same dedicated holster as the predecessor. 

Previous reports have already suggested that the Galaxy S24 Ultra could sport a 6.8-inch display. The latest renders add that the model is expected to get the slimmest bezels on any smartphone due to significant reduction in bezel size. It is said to feature a WQHD+ resolution display. Moreover. the Galaxy S24 Ultra could incorporate an ultra-wideband antenna on the right edge.

The dimensions of the upcoming smartphone are reported to be around 162.3 x 79 x 8.7mm, while it may weigh approximately 23g. Similar to Apple‘s iPhone 15 series, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is also said to get a titanium build, making the smartphone lighter than before. In terms of battery, it could pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. 

Finally, the report adds that the Galaxy S24 Ultra could be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It is said to get a 200-megapixel primary rear camera and for selfies, the phone could house a 12-megapixel front snapper. It is to be noted that Samsung has not announced the upcoming series yet.
