Rajasthan Woman Returns to India After Marrying Pakistani Man, Leaving Husband and Kids.
New Delhi: Anju, a 34-year-old woman from Rajasthan, who left her husband and two children to marry her “Facebook friend” Nasrullah in a remote village in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province earlier this year, has returned to India, crossing the Attari-Wagah border on Wednesday afternoon.
Her departure initially involved telling her husband, Arvind, that she was going to Jaipur for a few days. However, Arvind discovered through the media that she had crossed the border to Pakistan. Anju maintained contact with Arvind through WhatsApp but surprised him by revealing she was in Lahore and would return in two to three days during a call at 4 pm on the day of her departure.
Despite her relationship with Nasrullah in Pakistan being known to Arvind, he expressed hope that Anju would eventually return to him. The couple, who share two children, initially married after Anju converted to Christianity to be with Arvind. However, her recent actions have raised questions about her decision to leave her family for a new life in Pakistan. Pakistani media reported Nasrullah stating that Anju would return to him after meeting her daughter and son.
