Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 L Waiting Period Reduced by 5 Months

New Delhi: Mahindra has announced a significant reduction in the waiting period for the Scorpio NZ8 L variant, with the waiting time now reduced to five months compared to previous months. The development comes as Mahindra has increased production and distribution capacity to meet the high demand for its vehicles.

The Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic models are seeing a surge in bookings, with over 16,000 units jointly reserved per month. Despite the high demand, Mahindra has managed to streamline its operations, resulting in a significant reduction in waiting times for customers.

As of February 2024, the waiting period for the Scorpio N Z8 L variant is only two to three months on average, which is six to eight months less than the previous period. Similarly, other variants of the Scorpio N have also seen a reduction in waiting time, with the mid-spec variants now taking around four months on average, compared to six to eight months earlier.

The Scorpio N lineup offers a choice of two powerful engines: a 203hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 175hp, 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine. Both engines are available with 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. However, only the diesel variant gets the 4WD option. The price of Scorpio N ranges from Rs 13.60 lakh to Rs 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom).

Meanwhile, the Scorpio Classic has retained its popularity, with the waiting period ranging from two to three months for the base variant and four to five months for the top-spec S11 variant. Powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine generating 132hp and 300Nm torque, the Scorpio comes with a classic 6-speed manual gearbox. However, it lacks the automatic transmission and 4×4 capability, which is available in the Scorpio N. Scorpio Classic prices range from Rs 13.59 lakh to Rs 17.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

With the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N leading the way in terms of bookings, Mahindra is strengthening its position in the SUV segment. The reduction in wait time reflects the company’s commitment to providing exceptional value and customer satisfaction in a competitive market landscape.
