New Delhi: The POCO F5 Pro, approaching its first anniversary since its announcement on May 9, 2023, is now poised for a successor as evidenced by recent developments from Xiaomi. Earlier this year, Xiaomi obtained certification for the POCO F6 Pro from Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC).
While the NBTC did not disclose specific device details, it confirmed the retail name ‘POCO F6 Pro’ associated with model number ‘23113RKC6G’. The ‘G’ suffix in this model number indicates its global variant, aligning closely with ‘23113RKC6C’, the model number of the Redmi K70.
Further substantiating this, the model ‘23113RKC6G’ has surfaced on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
The FCC documentation confirms key specifications of the POCO F6 Pro, including a 5,000 mAh typical battery capacity (or 4,880 mAh rated capacity) and the utilization of HyperOS, akin to the POCO X6 Pro. Assuming parity with the Redmi K70, the POCO F6 Pro is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a 1440p OLED display, a 50 MP primary camera, and other flagship-grade attributes.
Despite these revelations, an official release date for the POCO F6 Pro remains undisclosed at this time.
