New Delhi: BMW expands its “CS or Competition Sport” lineup with the introduction of the formidable M4 CS, designed to elevate track performance to new heights. As part of the esteemed M4 range, the CS variant embodies a potent blend of enhanced power, reduced weight, and optimized chassis dynamics, setting it apart as a track-focused marvel.
At the heart of the M4 CS lies an upgraded twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six engine, elevating peak power to an impressive 550hp, an increase of 20hp compared to the standard M4 Competition. Additionally, the CS boasts a weight reduction of 20kg, achieved through the integration of a titanium exhaust silencer and various carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) components, optimizing agility and responsiveness on the track.
The powertrain enhancements extend to the cooling system and clutch oil supply, ensuring consistent performance during demanding track sessions. Furthermore, bespoke stiffer engine mounts enhance responsiveness, delivering unparalleled driving dynamics.
The M4 CS showcases a meticulously tuned chassis, featuring stiffer springs and anti-roll bars to enhance steering precision and minimize roll through tight bends. Coupled with a reprogrammed stability control system, the CS offers enhanced stability and control, empowering drivers to push boundaries with confidence.
Performance benchmarks underscore the M4 CS’s track prowess, with a blistering 0-100kph sprint time of 3.4 seconds and an impressive Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 7min 21.99sec. Distinguished by distinctive design elements such as yellow-tinted daytime-running lights and a red-outlined grille, the M4 CS pays homage to BMW’s racing heritage while exuding an unmistakable aura of performance.
As BMW continues to refine its M4 lineup, the M4 CS emerges as the epitome of track-focused engineering, poised to captivate enthusiasts with its unparalleled blend of power, agility, and performance.
