New Delhi: Land Rover unveils an updated lineup for the Defender, introducing a host of mechanical and cosmetic enhancements alongside a luxurious new three-row variant. This revamp marks a significant evolution of the L663-generation Defender, offering improved performance, enhanced powertrains, and refined interior options.

  • The Defender receives a substantial boost in power with the introduction of the D350 diesel engine, elevating outputs to 350hp and 700Nm for effortless performance in various driving conditions.
  • A new supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine replaces the previous petrol variant, offering a potent power delivery of 425hp.
  • The plug-in hybrid variant adopts a more compact 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine, contributing to a combined output of 310hp while ensuring compliance with Euro 6e emissions standards.
  • The highlight of the cabin enhancements is the introduction of the Captain Chairs pack for the three-row Defender 130, providing second-row passengers with individual armchairs for enhanced comfort and convenience.
