Zomato delivery partners, over 4,300 strong, set a Guinness World Record with the largest first-aid lesson in Mumbai.
Zomato, India’s leading food delivery platform, achieved a new Guinness World Record for hosting the largest first aid lesson at a single venue in Mumbai. Held at Nesco, Goregaon, the event brought together over 4,300 dedicated delivery partners, marking it as the world’s largest on-ground first aid training program. Sponsored by Raft Cosmic, with Feeding India supporting as the nutrition partner and Medulance as the training provider, the initiative aimed to equip delivery partners with essential skills in medical first aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). Esteemed guest Mr. Anil Kumble graced the event.
In addition to the comprehensive training, Zomato selected five promising delivery partners to collaborate closely with their team at the Gurugram headquarters for two months. These partners will contribute ideas to enhance services for the wider delivery partner community.
Reflecting on the program, Mr. Rakesh Ranjan, CEO of Food Delivery at Zomato, expressed pride in the turnout and underscored their commitment to the well-being of delivery professionals and communities. He highlighted that the event set a new Guinness World Record, affirming their dedication to innovative safety initiatives.
Beyond training, outstanding delivery performances were recognized with rewards, fostering a sense of community and allowing partners to showcase their talents. Mr. Anil Kumble emphasized the importance of safety and first aid training in emergencies, concluding the event with the distribution of special signed helmets and certificates. Zomato continues to prioritize safety with initiatives such as accident and health insurance coverage for eligible delivery partners, along with income protection and maternity insurance provisions.
