IIFL Foundation Provides Vital Relief to 1,800 Flood Victims in Dibrugarh
Guwahati: In a significant humanitarian effort, the IIFL Foundation, the CSR arm of the IIFL Group, has extended crucial support to flood-affected communities in Assam. The foundation, leveraging the dedication of its local staff volunteers, has delivered essential aid to 1,800 individuals in Dibrugarh district, addressing the severe impacts of the recent floods.
The floods in Assam, affecting many parts of eastern and northeastern India, have caused widespread disruption. Lives have been upended, infrastructure damaged, and communities severely impacted. In response, the IIFL Foundation has mobilized resources to provide food and other necessary supplies to those struggling due to the natural disaster.
The relief operations were effectively coordinated by IIFL’s local team, including Niloy Ghosh, Zonal Head of East India, IIFL Finance Gold Loan, Iqbal Hussain Tapadar, Regional Head of IIFL Finance Gold Loan, Ajay Das and Abhishek Dutta, Territory Managers at IIFL Finance Gold Loan, and other staff members from Assam such as Mousuf Shah, Gaurav Baruah, Jayshree Rajkhowa, Sanghamitra Paul Choudhury, Mintu Dutta, Tridib Hazarika, Sajida Hussain, and Debarshree Saikia. Their combined efforts ensured that aid reached the most affected areas efficiently and effectively.
Mrs. Madhu Jain, Director of IIFL Foundation, underscored the organization’s commitment to crisis response. “Our foundation has a history of stepping in during times of crisis and disaster. We are dedicated to supporting communities through our local volunteers and collaborating with local governments to enhance our impact,” Jain stated.
