‘Stay Alert- Stay Secure’ Project Proposal Discussion with Delhi Police Commissioner

New Delhi: A delegation recently met with Sh. Sanjay Arora IPS, the Delhi Police Commissioner, to discuss a proposal for a collaborative effort on the ‘Stay Alert- Stay Secure’ project. This initiative is designed to bolster citizen security by cultivating a robust National Citizens Security Culture. The delegation, which included Sh. Mahesh Sharma, Gen Ashok Shivane, Sh. Anil Pratham IPS (Retd), Capt Tiger Collaco, and Ms. Lydia, outlined the project details during their presentation.

Commissioner Arora praised the initiative and expressed his commitment to fostering a comprehensive security culture nationwide. He revealed plans to establish a dedicated team to explore the mechanisms for effective implementation and monitoring of the proposed scheme. This collaborative effort is anticipated to serve as a model for similar initiatives across the country.

Beyond the Delhi Police meeting, the project has also captured the interest of DGPs from six other states, who have invited further discussions on the initiative. This broad interest underscores the project’s potential to make a significant impact on citizen security across various regions.

The partnership between PSI and state police departments is expected to be mutually advantageous, helping to build strong relationships and enhance the overall security framework. The “Stay Alert- Stay Secure” project is set to become a key element in the development of a national security culture, contributing to safer communities for all citizens.
