Aatmanirbhar Bharat Utsav: Celebrating India’s Handloom and Handicraft Heritage

Trivandrum: The Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is proud to announce the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Utsav, an exhibition dedicated to promoting India’s rich handloom and handicraft sector. This event will take place from October 8th to October 15th, 2024, at the RDR Convention Centre, located opposite the petrol pump on Kochar Road, Edappazhinji, Thycaud PO, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The exhibition will be open to the public daily from 11 AM to 8 PM.

Significance of the Event

The Aatmanirbhar Bharat Utsav is not just an exhibition; it is a celebration of self-reliance in India. The Aatmanirbhar Bharat Utsav will bring together 100 participants from various State Government Bodies, Apex Societies, and Primary Handloom Weavers Cooperative Societies. These participants include weavers and artisans specializing in handloom, handicraft, silk, jute, and woollen products, showcasing the collective strength of India’s craftsmanship.
