New Delhi: In an exciting start to 2024, AirAsia has announced the launch of a new route from the charming Pink City of Jaipur to the vibrant metropolis of Kuala Lumpur. The inaugural flight is scheduled to take off on April 21, 2024, marking a significant milestone for AirAsia’s connectivity to India. To commemorate this exciting venture, the airline is offering promotional fares starting at only Rs 7,999* for one-way travel from Jaipur to Kuala Lumpur.
The announcement was made by Bo Lingam, Group CEO of AirAsia Aviation Group Limited, who expressed his delight at adding another gem to the airline’s ever-expanding network. Lingam highlighted the success of the last year, during which AirAsia not only introduced a new route to Thiruvananthapuram but also celebrated the possibility of visa-free travel for Indian nationals entering Malaysia. He stressed the importance of India as a key market, which has connected Malaysia with five million AirAsia guests from the country in the last six years.
This new venture marks AirAsia Malaysia’s first endeavor from Jaipur to Kuala Lumpur, providing Indian travelers seamless access to Malaysia’s capital city known for its business opportunities, leisure attractions and cultural richness. Kuala Lumpur has long been a favorite among Indian travelers, not only for its modern skyline but also for its diverse cultural heritage and delicious local cuisine. The flight schedule ensures convenient travel options, with flights from Jaipur to Kuala Lumpur operating on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and return flights also operating on the same day.
The flight schedule for this exciting route is as follows:
- Jaipur to Kuala Lumpur (AK18): Departure at 22:10, arrival at 06:05 on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sun.
- Kuala Lumpur to Jaipur (AK19): Departure at 18:55, arrival at 21:35 on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sun.
The move further strengthens AirAsia’s strong network, which already serves nine direct routes connecting various cities in India to Malaysia. The airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity is clear, with plans to launch flights to Thiruvananthapuram in February 2024, making it the second direct route to the state of Kerala after Kochi.
