New Delhi: Volvo Car India has introduced the single-motor variant of the XC40 Recharge in India, priced at an introductory Rs. 54.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested buyers can reserve this electric SUV exclusively through the brand’s online platform. This variant is powered by a 69kWh battery pack, delivering 236bhp and 420Nm of torque, with a WLTP-claimed range of up to 475km.
The Volvo XC40 Recharge is offered in a single, fully loaded variant known as P8 AWD, launched in India on July 26, 2022.
Under the hood, it features a 78kWh battery pack generating 402bhp and 660Nm of torque, offering a range of 418kms. Charging from 10-80% takes just 28 minutes with a 150kW DC fast charger.
Externally, distinguishing features include a body-colored blanked-out grille and Recharge badging on the bootlid. Notable exterior elements comprise LED headlamps, 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, black cladding on bumpers, and vertically stacked LED tail lights.
Inside, the XC40 Recharge boasts a 12-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, dual-zone climate control, a 13-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and a vertically stacked touchscreen infotainment system.
Color options include Crystal White, Fjord Blue, Onyx Black, Thunder Grey, and Sage Green, with a seating capacity of five occupants.
Despite the absence of direct rivals, the XC40 Recharge offers a unique proposition in the market.
