New Delhi: Motorola has introduced the Moto Buds and Moto Buds+ in India, following their debut in Europe last month. These true wireless earphones boast Hi-Res Audio certification, dynamic active noise cancellation (ANC), triple mic systems, and water-resistant designs. They promise seamless integration with the Moto Buds app, with the Moto Buds+ boasting “Sound by Bose,” indicating audio tuning and certification by the renowned American audio equipment manufacturer.
Pricing and Availability:
The Moto Buds are priced at Rs. 4,999 in India, with an instant Rs. 1,000 discount available for ICICI Bank credit card users, bringing the effective price down to Rs. 3,999. These earphones are currently offered in Coral Peach, Glacier Blue, and Starlight Blue, with a fourth Kiwi Green option expected soon.
Meanwhile, the Moto Buds+ are listed at Rs. 9,999, with an instant Rs. 2,000 discount for ICICI Bank credit card users, reducing the effective price to Rs. 7,999. They are available in Beach Sand and Forest Grey color options.
Both models can be purchased via Flipkart in India.
Specifications and Features:
The Moto Buds feature single 12.4mm dynamic drivers, while the Moto Buds+ come with dual dynamic drivers consisting of an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter. ANC is supported up to 50dB on the Buds and up to 46dB on the Buds+, with three preset noise cancellation modes – Transparency, Adaptive, and Noise Cancellation.
In addition to “Sound by Bose,” the Moto Buds+ offer Dolby Head Tracking for audio adjustment based on head movements, along with Dolby Atmos support. Both models are Hi-Res Audio certified and feature triple mic systems with integrated environmental noise cancellation (ENC) for enhanced call clarity.
The Moto Buds and Moto Buds+ are compatible with the Moto Buds app, enabling users to customize touch controls and sound settings using the equalizer. Currently available on the Play Store for Android devices, an iOS version of the app is in development.
Battery Life:
The Moto Buds provide up to 42 hours of total battery life, while the Moto Buds+ offer up to 38 hours. With ANC off, the Buds offer up to nine hours of playback, and the Buds+ provide up to eight hours. Quick Charge enables two hours of playback with 10 minutes of charging for the Buds, and three hours for the Buds+. Both earphones support USB Type-C charging, with wireless charging available for the Buds+ case. Both charging cases have IPX4 ratings for splash resistance, while the Moto Buds+ earphones boast an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. Both models support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, with the Moto Buds weighing 36g and the Moto Buds+ weighing 42.8g.
