HCL Indian Junior Open 2024: Global Talent Shines, Boosting India’s Young Squash Stars
Indore: HCL, a leading global conglomerate, in partnership with the Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI), successfully concluded the 14th Indian Junior Open in Indore, enhancing the squash ecosystem in India. The championship, held at the prestigious Daly College from May 22 to May 27, showcased exceptional talent and competitive spirit among junior players. This event was part of the HCL Squash Tour’s Indore leg, which concluded on May 26, and is a key component of HCL’s Squash Podium Program. The program aims to provide Indian players with opportunities to compete against the world’s best on home turf, improving their Asian ranking points. The IJO 2024 offered young players a unique platform to gain experience and international ranking points by competing against global talent. The winners were: Amarya Bajaj (Boys Under 11), Divyanshi Jain (Girls Under 11), Shresht Iyer (Boys Under 13), Goushika M (Girls Under 13), Savir Soor (Boys Under 15), Anika Dubey (Girls Under 15), Aryaveer Dewan (Boys Under 17), Unnati Tripathi (Girls Under 17), Yuvraj Wadhwani (Boys Under 19), and Anahat Singh (Girls Under 19).
