HMD Pulse, Pulse+, and Pulse Pro

New Delhi: HMD, known for its Nokia-branded phones, recently unveiled its first series of self-branded smartphones – the HMD Pulse lineup. This series comprises three models: the HMD Pulse, Pulse+, and Pulse Pro, which were introduced in select European markets. While the India launch date for these phones is yet to be confirmed, HMD has announced that its self-branded smartphones will soon debut in India.

In a tweet, HMD India revealed that it will disclose the name of the first HMD-branded smartphone set to launch in India on April 29. Although no further details about the specific model have been provided, speculation suggests that one of the recently launched HMD Pulse phones could make its way to the Indian market.

The HMD Pulse series is priced between EUR 140 to EUR 180 (approximately Rs. 12,460 to Rs. 16,000) and offers a range of colour options. The base Pulse model, Pulse+, and Pulse Pro feature Unisoc T606 SoCs, Mali-G57 MP1 GPU, up to 6GB RAM, and up to 256GB internal storage. They run on Android 14, sport 6.65-inch 90Hz LCD screens, and pack 5,000mAh batteries with 10W charging support. Camera setups vary across models, with the Pulse Pro boasting a 50-megapixel dual rear camera system and a 50-megapixel front camera sensor.

In addition to the Pulse lineup, HMD has also introduced the HMD Vibe model in the US, aimed at budget-conscious consumers. Priced at $150 (approximately Rs. 12,500), the HMD Vibe features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, a 4,000mAh battery, and a dual rear camera setup. While this model may not reach Indian shores, its launch signifies HMD’s expansion into new markets and product segments.

Stay tuned for further updates as HMD prepares to bring its self-branded smartphones to India.
