Honda City and Elevate Now Come Standard with Six Airbags
New Delhi: Honda Cars India has announced new safety updates across its lineup including City, City e:HEV (Hybrid), Elevate and Amaze. The City and Elevate now feature six airbags, 3-point emergency locking retractor (ELR) seat belts and seat belt reminders for all five seats as standard across all trims.
Key Updates:
- City and Elevate now equipped with six airbags, 3-point ELR seat belts, and seat belt reminders for all seats
- Elevate also receives additional features like adjustable head restraints for all passengers, driver & co-driver vanity mirror, and a digi-analogue instrument cluster with a 7-inch TFT display
- City gets a new 4.2-inch TFT display for the instrument cluster on the base SV variant, while the VX trim now includes an 8-speaker premium sound system and rear sunshade
- Price hike accompanies the inclusion of new features, with Elevate and City seeing increases in their respective price ranges
Price Changes:
- Elevate: Previous price range Rs 11.69-16.31 lakh, now Rs 11.91-16.43 lakh
- City: Base price increased from Rs 11.82 lakh to Rs 12.08 lakh; top-end variant now priced at Rs 16.35 lakh (Rs 5,000 increase)

- Amaze’s entry-level E variant discontinued, priced from Rs 7.93-9.86 lakh
- City e:HEV available in single range-topping ZX variant priced at Rs 20.55 lakh
- No mechanical changes made to any of the four cars
Honda City and Elevate retain their respective engines, the City and Elevate are powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 121hp and 145Nm, while the City Hybrid uses a 1.5-litre stronger hybrid petrol engine Which produces a combined 126hp. The Amaze is powered by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine rated at 90hp/110Nm.
