Hyundai Unveils India-Specific Creta Facelift: Bookings Open, Interior Teased, and Turbo-Petrol Engine Returns

New Delhi: In anticipation of its official launch on January 16, Hyundai has provided a glimpse of the upcoming Creta facelift ready for the Indian market. Bookings are now open for the revised Creta, which will require a token amount of Rs 25,000, with an option for those booking the existing model to change their reservations seamlessly.

The exterior enhancements reflect a bold transformation, including a revised grille, headlamps and bumper assembly, giving the Creta a more upright and strong appearance. Notable updates include a distinctive full-width LED light band and a rectangular LED headlamp cluster.

Inside, the Creta facelift features a complete dashboard redesign, including twin 10.25-inch connected screens reminiscent of the Kia Seltos. The central console displays redesigned AC vents, a sleek band of physical buttons and a touch panel for HVAC controls. Notable additions include an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) suite, a 360-degree camera and dual-zone climate control.

Under the hood, the Creta facelift retains its 115 hp, 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines, complemented by a standard manual gearbox and optional CVT and torque converter gearbox. The return of the 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine adds a performance edge to the lineup.

Available in seven trims and seven color options, the Creta facelift is set to compete with rivals like the Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate and Volkswagen Taigun in the fiercely contested midsize SUV segment.
