New Delhi: Rolls-Royce has officially launched the highly anticipated Spectre, its first all-electric vehicle in India. Priced at an extravagant Rs 7.5 crore (ex-showroom, before options), the Spectre is now the country’s most expensive four-wheeled EV available for private buyers. Alongside the pricing announcement, Rolls-Royce has unveiled the battery specifications and official range of the luxury electric vehicle. Bookings for the Spectre are now open, inviting enthusiasts to experience its opulence and cutting-edge electric technology.

Rolls-Royce introduces the Spectre with impressive specifications. Powered by a 102kWh battery, it offers a WLTP-estimated range of 530km. Accelerating from 0 to 100kph in just 4.5 seconds, the Spectre boasts two electric motors, generating a combined 585hp and 900Nm of torque. Built on Rolls-Royce’s Architecture of Luxury platform, known for its stiffness, the Spectre features active suspension, four-wheel steering, and shares the platform with the Phantom, Cullinan, and Ghost models.

The Spectre, serving as the spiritual successor to the Phantom Coupe, features a captivating design that combines classic Rolls-Royce elements with modern influences. With a long bonnet, a clean profile, and a fastback tail, it presents a familiar silhouette. The wide front grille with aerodynamic features and illuminated LEDs, along with the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy, contribute to its striking appearance. It boasts a drag coefficient of 0.25, making it the most aerodynamic Rolls-Royce to date. The Spectre’s sleek profile is accentuated by three defining lines and a fastback roof panel, while the rear showcases jewel-like vertical tail-lamps and a seamless glasshouse. This grand coupe rides on 23-inch aero-optimized wheels, providing a luxurious and distinct presence on the road.

The interior of the Spectre shares similarities with existing Rolls-Royce models, featuring high-end craftsmanship and luxurious materials. Notably, the starlight liner, previously limited to the roof, now extends to the door pads. The passenger-side dashboard panel illuminates the ‘Spectre’ nameplate, surrounded by over 5,500 star-like lights. The seats, integrated into the interior body panels, offer a fresh design. Customization options abound, with intricate stitching, embroidery, and piping available. The Spectre introduces Rolls-Royce’s new ‘Spirit’ software platform, replacing BMW-derived infotainment software, providing a connected car experience and extensive personalization possibilities, including customizable dials to complement the cabin.
