Jeep Wrangler Facelift Set to Hit Indian Roads on April 22
New Delhi: The eagerly awaited Jeep Wrangler facelift is scheduled for launch in India on April 22, 2024. Following its global debut around a year ago, the updated Wrangler arrives with refreshed styling and enhanced features.

- Exterior Enhancements: The facelifted Wrangler sports a revamped all-black grille, featuring a sleeker interpretation of the iconic seven-slat design. Globally, it offers a range of alloy wheel designs spanning 17 to 20 inches, paired with tyre sizes of up to 35 inches. Various roof options include a standard soft top, body-coloured hard top, black hard top, hybrid hard and soft top, Sunrider top for front passengers, and a dual-door group with half doors.
- Interior Upgrades and Features: At the heart of the cabin lies a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, standard across all variants. Running on Jeep’s Uconnect 5 platform, it introduces connected features such as the Trails Offroad guide, featuring 62 renowned off-road trails. Other amenities include 12-way power-adjustable front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an updated semi-digital instrument cluster.
- Powertrain Specifications: The India-spec Wrangler currently houses a 270hp, 400Nm, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It comes equipped with Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system as standard. The facelifted Wrangler is expected to retain this powertrain configuration in India.
- Price and Competition: Presently, the Jeep Wrangler is offered in two variants – Unlimited and Rubicon, priced at Rs 62.65 lakh and Rs 66.65 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. While it doesn’t have a direct rival, it competes indirectly with the Land Rover Defender in the Indian market.
