Kia has shipped 255,133 units to over 100 markets across the globe from its Anantapur manufacturing facility.

New Delhi: Kia India achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 250,000 vehicles exported since 2019. The company’s Anantapur manufacturing facility has been the key to this success, supplying vehicles to over 100 countries worldwide.

The Kia Seltos, a rival to the Hyundai Creta, has been the champion of exports, accounting for nearly 60% of all shipments. The Sonet and Carens, competitors to the Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga respectively, have also contributed significantly, representing 34% and 7% of exports.

While Kia India is a major export hub for Kia Corporation, the company’s focus is shifting towards the domestic market. This year, 90% of production will be dedicated to fulfilling Indian demand.

“This achievement reflects our commitment to quality and innovation,” said Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India. “The success of our Indian-made vehicles globally showcases our dedication to excellence. We plan to maintain a steady export presence while prioritizing the Indian market.”

Major export destinations include South Africa, Chile, Paraguay, and countries across Latin America.
