Chennai: Maharashtra Tourism recently wrapped up a successful roadshow in Chennai as part of its nationwide initiative to promote travel and trade opportunities. The event, held on March 14th at Courtyard by Marriot, witnessed significant participation from key figures in the travel industry.

With its diverse offerings including historical sites, beaches, religious landmarks, hill stations, wildlife sanctuaries, adventure sports, and culinary delights, Maharashtra stands out as a top tourist destination. Recognizing the growing interest in travel from South India, Maharashtra Tourism aims to cater to the preferences of travelers seeking pilgrimage sites, beaches, and adventure activities.

Smt. Jayshree Bhoj, IAS, Secretary (Tourism), expressed delight over the overwhelming response received and reiterated Maharashtra Tourism’s commitment to promoting tourism and facilitating inter-state travel. She highlighted the state’s robust connectivity via railways, roadways, and airways, making it accessible to both domestic and international tourists.

Maharashtra Tourism has also implemented various policies to support niche tourism segments, including Agro Tourism, Beach Shack, Caravan, and Adventure Tourism policies, tailored to cater to evolving travel trends and consumer preferences.
