MG Hector Blackstorm Edition Launched

Mumbai: MG Motor India has introduced the all-new Hector Blackstorm Edition, offering customers a refreshed and stylish variant of the popular SUV. Priced starting at Rs 21.25 lakh for the petrol-CVT variant and going up to Rs 22.76 lakh for the diesel-MT 6-seater variant (ex-showroom, India), this edition adds a touch of sophistication and exclusivity to the Hector lineup.

  • Exterior Enhancements: The Hector Blackstorm Edition features a striking starry-black exterior color, complemented by gun-metal finish accents with red highlights. The chrome details have been replaced with a smooth gun-metal finish, which extends to the grille, MG logo, bumpers, door cladding and more. The shiny black-finished 18-inch alloys and roof rails along with smoked-out headlamps and tail-lamps further add to its bold and premium appeal.
  • Interior Styling: Inside, the Hector gets an all-black theme with gun-metal accents on the center console, AC vents, door trims and steering wheel. The seats feature black leatherette upholstery with ‘Blackstorm’ embossing on the front headrests, which adds a touch of elegance to the cabin.
  • Feature-rich Package: Based on the second-to-top Sharp Pro trim, the Hector Blackstorm edition comes loaded with a ton of features, including a 14-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen, panoramic sunroof, digital driver display, LED projector headlamps, wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay, Is. and Android Auto, wireless phone charger, push-button engine start/stop and a smart key.
  • Powertrain Options: Customers can choose between petrol-CVT and diesel-MT powertrains, offering versatility to suit different driving preferences. The petrol variant is equipped with a 143hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a CVT gearbox, while the diesel variant is equipped with a 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Blackstorm treatment is available in 5-, 6- and 7-seater configurations.

The Hector Blackstorm variant faces competition from other SUVs in the segment such as the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV700 and the Jeep Compass. The growing trend of the Black Edition variant adds to the appeal of Hector, offering customers a unique and stylish option in the crowded SUV market.

Overall, the MG Hector Blackstorm Edition combines sophistication, style, and advanced features to deliver a compelling package for discerning customers seeking a blend of performance and aesthetics in their SUV.
