New 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Unveiled

New Delhi: Mitsubishi Motors has taken the wraps off the 2024 version of its popular Pajero Sport SUV in Thailand. This marks the second and possibly final facelift for the nine-year-old model before an all-new version arrives internationally.

The 2024 Pajero Sport packs a punch with its new 2.4-liter turbo-diesel engine, boasting 181.48 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. It comes with four off-road modes for various terrains like gravel, mud/snow, sand, and rock. There are four variants available in the Thai market, with the top-tier Elite Edition 4WD featuring Mitsubishi’s Super Select 4WD II system.

Externally, the SUV flaunts a redesigned hexagonal front grille, updated front and rear bumpers, and stylish 18-inch black monotone alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin sports a sleek black-burgundy color scheme with smoked titanium accents, an updated steering wheel with integrated buttons, and comfortable eight-way power-adjustable front seats.

In terms of tech, the 2024 Pajero Sport comes loaded with an 8-inch Full Digital Driver Display, a premium Mitsubishi Power Sound System, and an 8-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features include adaptive cruise control and a forward collision mitigation system.

Excitingly, Mitsubishi introduces the Mitsubishi Remote Control feature, allowing users to control various functions via their smartphones. While Mitsubishi stopped selling cars in India in 2020, recent collaborations, like the one with TVS Mobility, hint at a potential return to the Indian market, offering new vehicle sales and fleet operating solutions.
