The upcoming Porsche 911, which belongs to the ‘992.2’ generation, is set to undergo several mid-life revisions, including subtle changes to its exterior styling, interior enhancements and updates to its six-cylinder petrol engines. The refreshment is one of the highlights of four new Porsche models to be released in 2024, marking a busy year for the German automaker with new launches including the Panamera, Taycan and electric Macan.

One of the most significant changes for the Porsche 911 is the inclusion of a petrol-electric hybrid system. Set to debut in the new four-wheel-drive model, this innovative powertrain combines a tuned version of Porsche’s turbocharged six-cylinder engine with a specially designed electric motor integrated into the front axle. With the petrol engine powering the rear wheels and the electric motor driving the front wheels, the hybrid system promises better performance and efficiency.
