Ratan Tata Receives 2023 Anuvrat Award for Exceptional Humanitarian Contributions
New Delhi: Renowned industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata was honored with the prestigious “Anuvrat Award” for 2023 at a ceremony held at his Mumbai residence. The award was presented by a distinguished delegation led by Mr. Avinash Nahar, President of the Anuvrat World Foundation Society. The accolade included a commemorative plaque, a certificate of appreciation, and a monetary award of ₹1.51 lakh.
The event was attended by notable figures including Mr. Bheem Surana, General Secretary of Anuvrat World Foundation; Mumbai Customs Commissioner Mr. Ashok Kumar Kothari; Anuvrat Vice-President Mr. Vinod Kumar; and Assistant Secretary Mr. Manoj Singhi. During the ceremony, Mr. Nahar praised Mr. Tata for his significant and positive impact on humanity and recognized him for exemplifying human values at their best. He also conveyed the best wishes of Anuvrat’s founder, Acharya Shri Mahashraman, who sent his heartfelt greetings and wished Mr. Tata continued good health.
The Anuvrat movement, established 75 years ago, has made significant contributions in promoting human unity, ethical values, non-violence, and goodwill. Founded by Acharya Tulsi, it has gained international recognition, including at the United Nations. The Anuvrat Award has previously honored eminent personalities such as Sri Atmaram, Sri Jainendra Kumar, Sri Shivaji Bhave, Sri Shivraj Patil, Sri Nitish Kumar, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Sri T.N. Seshan, and Dr. Prakash Amte.
At the event, the delegation also presented Mr. Tata with special editions of Anuvrat literature, including the magazines ‘Anuvrat’ and ‘Children’s Country’. They shared information about various Anuvrat initiatives, including the Election Integrity Campaign, Anuvrat Digital Detox, Elevate, Environmental Awareness Campaign, Drug-Free Campaign, and Life Sciences. Mr. Tata commended the Anuvrat movement for its ongoing efforts to advance societal well-being.
