Salman Khan Reveals Firing Incident Linked to Bishnoi Gang

New Delhi: In a shocking revelation, Bollywood actor Salman Khan informed the police that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang attempted to kill him and his family during a firing incident at his Galaxy Apartments residence in April. The chargesheet filed by Mumbai Police under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) states that Khan was asleep when he heard a noise resembling firecrackers. His police bodyguard reported that around 4:55 am, two individuals on a motorbike fired shots at his first-floor balcony, prompting a complaint at the Bandra police station.

Khan disclosed that his family had received prior threats from the Bishnoi gang, who had spoken about killing them on previous occasions. He firmly believed that the gang, led by Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi, was behind the firing, intending to harm his family. Supporting this claim, Salman’s brother Arbaaz Khan recounted the prior threats and an intrusion at their Panvel farmhouse. Arbaaz highlighted that Salman had always advised the family to remain vigilant about their safety.

In contrast, the chargesheet outlines Anmol Bishnoi’s assertion that the firing was intended only to scare Salman Khan. Anmol allegedly directed the gunman to fire shots in the air to assert the gang’s dominance in Mumbai for financial gain. Conversations between Anmol and shooter Vickykumar Gupta indicated that the act was meant to generate a media sensation, thus boosting the gang’s notoriety.

The police have arrested six individuals in connection with the case. Among them, Anujkumar Thapan reportedly committed suicide while in custody. The other suspects, including Vickykumar Gupta, Sagarkumar Pal, Sonukumar Bishnoi, Mohd Rafiq Choudhary, and Harpal Singh, are currently in judicial custody.
