Skoda Enyaq iV Debuts at Bharat Mobility Expo 2024
New Delhi: Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has made a significant presence at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024, showcasing a range of state-of-the-art internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) models. Among the highlights is the unveiling of the Skoda Enyaq iV EV in India for the first time. Skoda’s participation underlines its commitment to offering electric mobility solutions in the Indian market.
Skoda Enyaq iV for India:
The Enyaq iV, Skoda’s all-electric crossover, is poised to become the brand’s first electric vehicle in India. Making its global debut in September 2020, the Enyaq iV is built on Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform specifically designed for electric vehicles. The Indian version is expected to be the Enyaq iV 80x, with a 77kWh battery and dual motors for a combined output of 265hp. With a range of 513 km on a single charge (WLTP), the Enyaq iV represents Skoda’s entry into the growing Indian electric vehicle segment.
Other highlights of the expo:
Lamborghini’s hybrid supercar, the Revuelto, also made a notable appearance at the Skoda Auto Volkswagen India pavilion. Priced at Rs 8.89 crore (ex-showroom), the Revuelto has an impressive 1,015hp generated by an 825hp, 6.5-litre V12 engine coupled with three electric motors. This supercar accelerates from 0-100kph in just 2.5 seconds and its top speed is 325kph. Lamborghini has stated that the Revuelto is already sold out till 2026, with bookings currently on hold.
The expo also features the latest models from Volkswagen Group, including offerings from Audi and Porsche. Skoda’s participation at the India Mobility Expo signals an important step towards introducing advanced and sustainable mobility solutions to the Indian automotive landscape.
