SSN College of Engineering Opens Applications for its MTech and ME Programs

Hyderabad: SSN College of Engineering, ranked 45th in the engineering category as per NIRF 2023 a leading engineering institution in Tamil Nadu announces the opening of its admission process for the Master of Engineering (M.E.) and Master of Technology (M.Tech) programs. These courses have been meticulously designed to equip students with the skills and expertise needed to excel in cutting-edge fields. The courses cater to the rapidly evolving demands of industries such as telecommunications, computer science, renewable energy, healthcare, environmental science, and more. There are 18 seats in each of the 9 PG courses. Admission to these courses will be on a merit basis. GATE and TANCET scores are also considered.

The last date to apply is the second week of August 2024, through this registration link: https://apply.ssn.edu.in/m-e-m-tech-application-form. Grants and scholarships are also available on merit basis.

Details of the PG Courses and research areas are as follows:

  • M.E. Communication Systems: Specializations – 5G technology, Applied Electromagnetics (including antennas, filters, biosensors), Speech and Image processing, Wireless Sensors.
  • M.E. Computer Science And Engineering – Specializations: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP).
  • M.E. Power Electronics and Drives – Specializations: Electric Motor Drives, Power Electronics, Electric Vehicle Technology, Renewable Energy, Battery Technology.
  • M.Tech Information Technology – Specializations: AI, ML, NLP, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Internet of Things (IoT).
  • M.E. VLSI Design – Specializations: RTL Modeling and verification, Analog and Mixed Signal IC Design, RF IC Design, Testing of VLSI Circuits, System on Chip (SoC) Design.
  • M.E. Energy Engineering – Specializations: R&AC, Green Energy, Energy Conservation.
  • M.E. Manufacturing Engineering – Specializations: Additive Manufacturing, Smart Materials, Robotics.
  • M.E. Medical Electronics – Specializations: Medical XR, Biorobotics, HealthTech AI.
  • M.Tech Environmental Science and Technology – Specializations: Green Technology, Circular Economy, Climate Change Mitigation.

SSN Institutions offered grants and scholarships totaling over INR 90 crore to more than 10,000 meritorious candidates. The different types of scholarships for M.E./M.Tech programs are:

1) Merit Grant: For GATE candidates*: (any one of the below mentioned, depending on percentile and marks scored)

  • Grant of INR 1,00,000 per annum for percentile of 90 and above
  • Grant of INR 75,000 per annum for percentile of 80 to 89
  • Grant of INR 50,000 per annum for valid GATE score card holders

*Candidate should have secured marks greater than or equal to qualifying marks for his/her category

2) Walk-in Walk-out scholarship: 100% scholarship for Top 10 Anna University rank holders in B.E./B.Tech. program

3) Rank holder Scholarship: 50% scholarships for the first rank holders of private university

4) Merit cum Means Scholarship: 50% to 100% Tuition fee waiver for candidates based on family income.

In the year 2022-23, 94% of students from our Master’s courses bagged placements in top companies including Robert Bosch, Alcatel Lucent, TCS, Cognizant, CDMSmith, Skolar, Renault Nissan, etc. The highest package received was Rs. 15 LPA. Several students also moved into research and academics. Some of them are currently pursuing doctorates from top universities across the globe including the US, UK and Australia.
