New Delhi: Summit India has taken an important step to strengthen its organizational structure by announcing two key appointments. The appointment letters were issued today by the organization’s Chairman and former BJP National Vice President, Mr. Shyam Jaju.

Sharing the update, Secretary General Professor Mahesh Verma said that Mr. Prabhakar Sharan, a well-known Spanish actor, director, and film producer of Indian origin, has been appointed as Chairman for the Latin America region. With his diverse experience and international recognition, Mr. Sharan is expected to play a key role in expanding Summit India’s presence in the region, promoting cultural exchange, and strengthening business collaborations.

Mr. Sharan originally belongs to Motihari in East Champaran, Bihar—known for its connection to Mahatma Gandhi and the freedom movement. He has acted in several successful Spanish films and currently lives in Costa Rica, where his wife runs multiple educational institutions and universities. Under his leadership, several initiatives related to Ayurveda, herbal products, and India’s AI-based translation technologies are planned to be introduced across Latin America. A delegation from India is expected to visit the region in the last week of June for this purpose.

In addition, Mr. Balamurugan Vasu, a well-known entrepreneur from Tamil Nadu, has been appointed as the Chairperson of Summit India’s Tamil Nadu chapter. With his strong leadership and business experience, he will work across sectors such as entertainment, film industry, education, and healthcare at the state level. A global summit is also planned in August to support these initiatives. Mr. Vasu’s father was a close associate of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran.
