New Delhi: Tata Motors is electrifying the auto landscape with the imminent launch of the Punch EV on January 17, which marks its fourth foray into the electric vehicle market. The eagerly awaited model boasts of state-of-the-art acti.ev architecture, a first for Tata, promising a range of 300-400 km. Enthusiasts can secure their spot by booking for just Rs 21,000.
The Punch EV Nexon differentiates itself with an EV-inspired design, which includes a bold front end, a full-width LED light bar and a distinctive split headlamp setup. A look at the interior reveals a tech-savvy cabin with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a two-spoke steering wheel and a jewel-like rotary drive selector. Notably, the top-tier Punch EV adopts first-of-its-kind features for a vehicle of its size, including ventilated front seats and a wireless charger.
Offering two variants – Standard and Long Range – with 25kWh and 35kWh battery packs respectively, the Punch EV incorporates the Active.EV modular platform, ensuring a strong range and efficient charging options. Priced between Rs 10-13 lakh, it squarely challenges the Citroen eC3, which is set to carve its niche between the Tiago EV MR and Nexon EV MR in the Indian electric vehicle landscape.
