UIDAI Makes Aadhaar Services Fully Online: Update Everything from Name to Date of Birth at Home

Aadhaar Services Now Fully Online

Users can now log in to the UIDAI website or MyAadhaar portal to update their Aadhaar details.
Cardholders can update the following details online:
- Name
- Address
- Date of Birth
- Mobile Number
- Email ID
To make updates, users only need to upload valid identity documents such as a PAN card, passport, ration card, or driving license. Once uploaded, the details are verified through an OTP-based authentication process on the registered mobile number.
How to Update Aadhaar Details Online
UIDAI has made the update process extremely simple and user-friendly. Follow these steps to update your Aadhaar details easily:
- Visit the official UIDAI website or MyAadhaar portal.
- Log in using your Aadhaar number and verify with the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
- Click on “Update Aadhaar Online.”
- Choose the detail you wish to modify, such as name, address, or date of birth.
- Upload the required supporting documents.
- Pay the applicable fee online.
- After submission, you will receive an Update Request Number (URN) to track your update status.
Once the verification is completed, UIDAI sends a confirmation message, and you can download your updated e-Aadhaar instantly.
New PAN-Aadhaar Linking Deadline
The government has extended the last date to link PAN and Aadhaar to December 31, 2025. This move provides relief to millions of taxpayers. Previously, the deadline was set for June 2025.
If PAN and Aadhaar are not linked by this date, the PAN card will be deactivated, making it invalid for tax filing, banking transactions, and other financial services. Moreover, UIDAI has clarified that Aadhaar verification will now be mandatory for issuing new PAN cards.

- Demographic Data Update (Name, Address, DOB, etc.): ₹75
- Home Enrollment (First Member): ₹700
- Additional Member at Same Address: ₹350
Earlier, the fees were ₹50 for demographic updates and ₹100 for biometric updates. The revision is intended to improve infrastructure, security, and service quality across both online and offline Aadhaar centers.
