Maharashtra Tourism and Trade Road Show Received an Overwhelming Response from Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Maharashtra Tourism launched an 8-city roadshow to promote tourism, connecting with prospective clients and assessing market potential. The recent event in Hyderabad at Marriott on December 4 showcased the state’s diverse offerings, including historical sites, beaches, wildlife, and cultural festivals, garnering significant attention from the local travel industry.

The surge in travel from South India towards devotional destinations in Maharashtra, such as Ashtavinayak, Jyotirlangas, Pandharpur, and Kolhapur, presents a significant opportunity for Maharashtra Tourism to cater to the preferences of this demographic. The state’s offerings align well with the travel needs of South Indian citizens inclined towards pilgrimage places.

Smt. Jayshree Bhoj, IAS, Secretary (Tourism) said, “After receiving an overwhelming response from our roadshows last year, we are elated to organize a road show series this year as well to newer markets and explore untapped opportunities. Our motive is to promote tourism and boost inter-state travel and tourism. We are happy to receive such a great response for our roadshow in Hyderabad. Maharashtra as a state is rich in travel and tourism opportunities due to various aspects. Post covid, the tourism industry is reviving and the travel companies in Maharashtra are witnessing an uptick in booking trends. We are certain that all our forthcoming roadshows in the country will get a great response from the citizens.”

Maharashtra provides diverse opportunities for tourists with excellent connectivity by railways, roadways, and airways for both domestic and international travelers. The state actively promotes niche tourism through policies like Agro Tourism, Beach Shack, Caravan, and Adventure Tourism, aligning with evolving travel trends and consumer behavior.
