Hyundai Genesis Neolun Concept Previews Upcoming Three-Row Luxury SUV

New Delhi: Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis has unveiled the Neolun SUV concept, offering a glimpse of the future of ultra-luxurious vehicles. Set to make its debut at the upcoming New York Auto Show, the Neolun concept is set to potentially give birth to a three-row luxury SUV that will position itself as a strong contender against cars like the Mercedes-Maybach GLS.

Inspired by Korea’s iconic moon-shaped ceramic jars, the Genesis Neolun SUV concept boasts a distinctive design characterized by a boxy yet elegant silhouette. Genesis’ chief creative officer, Luc Donckerwolke, highlights the aesthetic beauty of the SUV, particularly its inclusion of Genesis’ signature “two lines” lighting motif on both the front and rear.

Externally, the Neolun concept is adorned in a striking Midnight Black and Majestic Blue two-tone paint scheme, while its interior exudes opulence with Royal Indigo leather upholstery accented by white piping. Inside, passengers are offered a range of premium amenities including captain’s seats and fully heated floors for enhanced comfort.

The SUV concept also features a state-of-the-art sound system equipped with advanced “Sound Architecture”, providing a concert hall-like audio experience. Adding to the ambiance is a unique crystal sphere that rotates synchronously with the audio system, reminiscent of the luxury offered in the GV60 SUV.

In terms of size, the Neolun SUV concept is envisioned as a full-size vehicle capable of accommodating three rows of seating, although the concept currently displays two rows. When launched, Genesis may offer the SUV with a choice of two- or three-row seating configurations, providing versatility to meet different customer preferences.

While Genesis currently does not offer any models in the Indian market, enthusiasts and luxury car lovers in the country are eagerly awaiting the prospect of privately imported Genesis cars and SUVs, including possible future offerings like the Neolun SUV.

The unveiling of the Hyundai Genesis Neolun concept marks a significant step in the evolution of luxury SUVs, which promises to redefine the segment with its blend of cutting-edge design, excellent craftsmanship and unparalleled comfort features.
