New Delhi: Following the successful launch of the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion in India, Motorola has confirmed the arrival of its premium sibling, the Edge 50 Ultra. This flagship smartphone boasts a powerful processor, a versatile camera system, and a unique design element – a wooden textured rear panel.

The Motorola India handle on X (formerly Twitter) shared a teaser of a smartphone with the “coming soon” tag. The image only shows a hollowed-out back panel of the upcoming handset. The wooden textured rear panel and the camera unit placements confirm that it is the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, particularly its Nordic Wood variant. This is backed by the text in the image which reads, “‘Wood’ you believe it?”

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is expected to mirror its global counterpart in specifications. Here’s a closer look at what to expect:

  • Display: A large 6.7-inch 144Hz full-HD+ pOLED display ensures smooth visuals and a responsive user experience.
  • Performance: The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, promises exceptional performance for demanding tasks and multitasking.
  • Cameras: The triple-rear camera system comprises a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, catering to diverse photography needs. A 50-megapixel front camera caters to high-quality selfies and video calls.
  • Battery: A 4,500mAh battery keeps the phone powered, supported by 125W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging for swift recharges.
  • Other Features: Connectivity options include dual 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C port. In-display fingerprint sensor and IP68 dust and water resistance provide additional security and durability.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s most distinctive feature is undoubtedly its wooden textured rear panel. This unique design element adds a touch of elegance and sophistication, setting it apart from the competition.

The official launch date and pricing for the Indian market are yet to be revealed by Motorola. However, with its powerful specs, versatile camera system, and standout design, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is poised to be a compelling option for tech enthusiasts and design-conscious consumers in India.
