New Delhi: Oppo is gearing up to launch the Oppo K12 in China soon, with the company unveiling the launch date along with details on the phone’s design, color choices, and standout features. This upcoming model is expected to succeed the Oppo K11 5G, which debuted in July 2023. Notably, the Oppo K12 is speculated to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G, recently introduced in India. The phone’s design and confirmed specifications strongly align with these assertions.

According to a recent Weibo post by Oppo, the Oppo K12 is scheduled to launch on April 24 at 2:30pm local time (12pm IST). The design depicted in the teaser resembles that of the OnePlus Nord CE 4, featuring vertically arranged dual cameras and an LED flash within an elliptical camera module at the top left corner of the back panel. Pre-reservations for the handset are currently open on Oppo’s official China shop website.

In an earlier announcement, Oppo revealed that the Oppo K12 will be available in two color variants – Qingyun and Starry Night (translated from Chinese), reminiscent of the Dark Chrome and Celadon Marble colorways seen on the OnePlus Nord CE 4. The Oppo K12 is expected to be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Additionally, the model will feature a robust 5,500mAh battery supporting 100W wired fast charging, mirroring the specifications of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 in India.

The Oppo K12 is likely to sport a 6.7-inch 120Hz full-HD+ AMOLED display, a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter and a 16-megapixel front camera sensor. Other anticipated features include an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. The OnePlus Nord CE 4 was introduced in India with a starting price of Rs. 24,999 for the base variant (8GB + 128GB) and Rs. 26,999 for the top-end variant (8GB + 256GB).
