Delhi: Warner Music India has expanded its collaboration with Global Music Junction (GMJ), the music and entertainment arm of JetSynthesys. Initially striking a distribution deal in 2021, this renewed partnership sees Warner Music making a strategic investment in GMJ, entailing a board seat. This strategic maneuver positions Warner Music India as a pivotal player in the burgeoning central Indian music market.

GMJ stands as a dominant force in the realms of Bhojpuri, Haryanvi, Oriya, Kannada, and Gujarati music markets, witnessing remarkable growth, especially in Kannada and Gujarati segments. With Bhojpuri emerging as India’s fastest-growing language, Warner Music’s move solidifies its foothold as a key player in this dynamic music sphere. GMJ is dedicated to empowering artists and labels through an array of services spanning content creation, events management, innovative distribution, marketing solutions, technical analytics, and legal support.

With an extensive ecosystem comprising over 100 partners and boasting more than 250 million subscribers, GMJ delivers over 100 billion minutes of entertainment annually through a repository of over 130,000 pieces of audio-visual music content. Its partnerships encompass luminaries such as Bhojpuri icons Khesari Lal Yadav and Pawan Singh, Haryanvi sensations Renuka and Sapna Chaudhary, as well as Odiya stalwarts Malay Mishra and Ira Mohanty. Moreover, GMJ collaborates with esteemed training and production entities like Artium Academy, Hariprem Films, and music directors Sahil Sandhu and Malay Mishra.

GMJ’s recent accomplishments include Haryanvi superstar Sapna Choudhary’s “Jale 2” amassing over 300 million views on YouTube and 15 million Instagram Reels within 90 days, alongside Shivani Singh’s “Sent Gamkauwa” garnering 700 million YouTube views in just six months. Such milestones underscore GMJ’s prowess in cultivating and disseminating culturally resonant music content across diverse linguistic landscapes.

Alfonso Perez Soto, President, Emerging Markets, Warner Music, says, “This is a significant milestone in the expansion of our presence across India.  Working with the amazing team at GMJ last year not only strengthened our partnership but enabled us to better support artists from the central regions of India, bringing them the best artistic support that any company can provide, and helping them connect with fans across the country and around the world.  India is one of the most exciting music markets in the world and with GMJ as a partner we’re right at the heart of it.”
